Get to know Mrs. Addicks

HI!  My name is Mandy Addicks and I am so excited to have you in my 8th grade Science!  This is going to be a GREAT year!!! 

I was born and raised in Oklahoma.  I attended Oklahoma Baptist University and graduated in 2000.  I majored in Elementary/Early Childhood Education.  I have been married for 13 years in November and I have two amazing little girls. Hadley is 11 and starting 6th Grade at FJH, GO VIKINGS!  Hannah is 7 and starting 2nd Grade at Fairmont Elementary.  They are both taking dance this year at Twin Arts Studio.  

This is my 24th year to each.  I was in Galveston ISD teaching 2nd grade for one year.  Then I moved to Dickinson ISD and taught for 6 years in 1st and 2nd grade.  In 2008 I moved to Deer Park ISD to each at Deer Park Elementary where I taught 3rd grade and 5th grade for 4 year and then 7th grade science for 11 years at BJH.  This is my second year at FJH!  I am so excited about the 2024 school year!  It is going to be the best yet!
